Local parents and children came to celebrate the long-awaited opening of a new playground in Knowle West - complete with carved tree sculpture. The Inns Court Playground was opened by Bristol Mayor George Ferguson. It took a year for Bristol City Council to plan in consultation with local people and six weeks to construct - and is already proving a hit with young families during the school holidays. The sculpted giant redwood tree was created by wood carver Andy O'Neill using a chain saw - and took ten days to complete.

KWMC staff enjoyed a lovely Caribbean lunch at Rochlata in The Park, Daventry Road yesterday. Top favourite was Akee and Saltfish with rice and peas, closely followed by Jerk Chicken. Great to be able to sample international flavours right on our doorstep. It's advisable to book your food in advance if you don't want to wait as they get very busy.

Our new and very comfy 'pop-up' staff room has appeared in the main studio at KWMC. It is part of our Health and Wellbeing Charter which looks at all areas in the workplace that have an impact on our wellbeing and aims to improve it. So hopefully we will all be happier and more productive people! :)
